Welcome to Frampton Court Estate

Home of the Clifford family for over 1,000 years. The estate lies on the banks of the river Severn on the edge of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire.

Frampton Court

Frampton Court is a stunning Georgian mansion house which has been lived in by the Clifford family since it was built in the 1730s, and is now available as a whole house rental or film location.

The Orangery

At the head of the seventeenth century ornamental Dutch canal is the exquisite Orangery. Described by Country Life magazine as “The prettiest garden building in England” The Orangery is one of the most unusual examples of Strawberry Hill gothic architecture in the country.

The Orangery makes for a charming self-catered retreat or the perfect location set for film makers.

The Cyder House

The Cyder House is a beautifully furnished and secluded farmhouse that sleeps up to 16 guests, making it perfect for family gatherings and special occasions. There is plenty of space here and things to do, with its private walled-garden, boules court, games barn and even a Scandinavian style wood-fired hot-tub! The house is ideally located on the estate, with short walks to the lakes and then on into the village.

 The Wool Barn 

The impressive Grade I listed Wool Barn is set within the working farmyard of Manor Farm. Built in the 1560s, it has been lovingly restored to its former glory and is one of the most splendid buildings of its type and age in the country. 

Available as a fabulous wedding venue or film location.

House and Garden Tours

Whatever your tastes or interests – be they architectural or historical, horticultural or agricultural, medieval or classical – the buildings and surroundings at Frampton Court Estate will fascinate any visitor. We can arrange private guided tours mid-week during the summer months of The Manor, The Manor Garden* and The Wool Barn for groups of 10 people or more. Tours are by appointment only.


*The Manor Garden is open to the public from 2-4pm Mondays and Fridays, 17th April - 24th July.

Filming

Frampton Court Estate boasts a number of historic buildings dating back as far as the sixteenth century, including the Manor and gardens, Wool Barn, Court, Orangery, as well as outbuildings and many acres of parkland and lakes, All available for location hire.
