The Wool Barn
The magnificent Grade 1 listed Wool Barn is set within the working farmyard of the Manor and has been dated to around 1550 making it one of the most impressive timber-framed buildings of its type and date in the country.
We hold a very limited number of wedding receptions and parties annually and only from 1st May – 30th September which makes The Wool Barn a most unusual venue for your celebrations.
We are not a commercial ‘wedding venue’ and so invite you to come and organise your memorable day in this beautiful and historic building.
Frampton Court, Grade I listed and built in 1732, is part of the wedding package and not only gives you the accommodation of five, beautifully appointed double bedrooms that are light and elegantly furnished, but also the use of its principal reception rooms: the panelled Hall (with bespoke “Mouseman” furniture), the Drawing Room, Dining Room and Morning Room; the latter showing part of the collection of Frampton Flora, botanical water colours painted by Clifford ladies in C19th.
You are invited to arrive at the house from teatime on the Friday and will not need to vacate again until lunchtime on the Sunday. Your stay may be extended by prior arrangement.
A wonderful breakfast using locally sourced ingredients, will be served on the Saturday and Sunday mornings in the magnificent Dining Room, with views across the Park to the lake and your marquee. If you have family or friends staying in The Orangery, they may join you for breakfast by prior arrangement plus a small additional charge.
Additional extras such as a dinner party on the Friday night for up to 20 guests or a light lunch the Saturday before your wedding can be arranged with the House Manager.
The garden at Frampton Court may be used for a ceremony, photographs and your drinks reception before guests are invited to walk across the Park for celebrations in the marquee: please note we are not licensed for civil ceremonies but are happy for you to hold your own ceremony, in whatever style you choose, in the garden or in the marquee.
You are welcome to choose your own supplier for the marquee or catering; we would be happy to give you the names of companies who are familiar with working in The Park already.
